What HAPPENED?!?!?!?!?!?

... I am slightly disturbed by this. He's around my age and he was so cute, and he was TALENTED. He could've had a great career in front of him.

I remember watching him in "Tom and Huck", "Sleepers", "The Client", and "Apt Pupil" and am constantly amazed that he is really committed an actor. I get the impression he's one of those that wouldn't be miscast at all.

*sigh* So. Sad.

Post Re-Rereading Thoughts.

I wrote earlier about rereading "Rebecca". I've managed to finish the book and have also rewatched the Laurence Olivier/Joan Fontaine movie adaptation right after.

Joan Fontaine did a really superb job embodying "I". She was able to put together all of "I"'s negative and positive qualities. I'm *really* happy that the insecurities weren't the driving force of the character. Laurence Olivier wasn't really how I imagined Maxim to look but how I imagined him to act --- somehow the age difference is not that obvious. Joan Fontaine played "I" like an old, introspective soul in a young body. What girl goes around, at 21, saying "I'm not the sort of person men marry"? But the movie was as good an adaptation as they can make it. And "Rebecca" is still one of my favourites.

... I've been wondering though, and I've a thought. I think it's time to remake both "Rebecca" and "Jane Eyre", though not as a silver screen movie. Maybe a BBC miniseries of some sort, and modernized somewhat.

For "Rebecca", I somehow want to see David Tennant tackle the role of Maxim de Winter and maybe either Sophia Myles or Anna Friel as "I". I see David Morrissey as Edward Rochester and Billie Piper as Jane Eyre in that adaptation.

Yes? No? Maybe?

Jonathan Creek, ETC.

Dude, okay. I miss being able to watch "Jonathan Creek". Alan Davies is adorable and Caroline Quentin cracks me up. It's a well-written show and it reminds me a bit of, uhm, "MacGyver". That was one of the BEST shows on TV. "MacGyver", "Perfect Strangers", "Mr. Bean" - those WERE the best in their day.

Did I ever mention how much I like Bill Pullman in While You Were Sleeping? He was cute in that movie. He was younger as well. Meh, whatever. I LOVE that movie. Sandra Bullock is cool.....

Well, must tara off to be productive.

*muah*
ciao, schlomps and pumpie pie everybody!

Boring Weekend Ahead

*sigh* Okay. This weekend is starting out to be quite boring. I wish I was home. Then I'd have food. I'd have a car. Oh, did I mention I'd have food? *snicker*

Anyway, I have an essay to do and finals for Summer Session One is actually next week. Eek. See y'all round!

Cheerio!
